  • Tilted Brim – 706 Larkin Street

    Tilted Brim is an independent San Francisco based brand and multi-label retailer, driven and inspired by the City's rich history of sport, art and hustle. They're the ones behind the classic TENDERLOIN sweatshirts you've seen all over town. A proud participant in the SF First Thursday / Tenderloin Art Walk since 2016.

  • 5 Olive Gallery – 5 Olive Street

    Located just off the beaten path 5 Olive Gallery is well worth the trip down the Alley. The 500 sqft space initially opened as an Artist in Residency program/ Pop up Gallery run by Public Works nightclub. Local Artist Eli The Man who participated in the program took over operations in October 2023 and has since been bringing in a steady stream of exciting art shows and a variety of events. Look to 5 Olive to find great work by up and coming painters, sculptors, printmakers, mixed media artists, and musicians.

  • Emperor Norton's Boozeland – 510 Larkin Street

    Emperor Norton's BoozeLand was birthed in 2012 from the fine folks at Bender's Bar & Grill. A 5 star dive bar; a bastion of weirdness and refuge for weirdos and the not-so-weird, 510 Larkin has been a bar since 1944, when it first opened as the Domar Club. Many iterations later, this space provides a safe space for folks from all walks of life to gather, drink, converse and sometimes dance!

    Emperor Norton's BoozeLand is open 365 days a year at 1pm. Cheap drinks, friendly service, pool table, shuffleboard, photo booth, large back smoking patio, 420/dog friendly, Pliny the Elder on draft. Monthly art shows. Happy Hour M-F 1pm-7pm.

  • Mini Mart – 720 Geary Street

    Mini Mart is a proud supporter of the art community with studios from artists Nick Maltagliati, Brent Hayden, and E. Dyer. Mini Mart also has a gallery and retail shop in the storefront from artist Tod The Bunny, where he sells apparel, paint supplies, and other little Knick knacks. We highlight artists specifically from the Bay Area, and are open for the First Thursday Art Walk, and by appointment.

  • Low Key Skate Shop – 679 Geary Street

    Low Key is a small boutique-style, core skate shop located at 679 Geary Street in San Francisco's Downtown/Tenderloin neighborhood. We offer a wide variety of skateboard hard goods, street brand apparel, and accessories. Our passion is skating and the art that surrounds street/skate culture. Back of house we have our own print shop and specialize in high end plastisol screen printing. We produce our own apparel in-house and focus on collaborating with a different artist each season. Each month we host a new art exhibition for the Tenderloin First Thursday Art walk. We are a humble little shop that caters to our community while living up to our name. Stop by from 12-6pm Tuesday-Sunday.

  • Ryan Graff Contemporary – 804 Sutter Street

    Founded in May of 2023, Ryan Graff Contemporary was established with the vision of cultivating a space for Humanist figurative art exploring the complex interior landscape of the human experience. We view the experience of art as a catalyst for introspection and dialogue; a conduit for authentic connection that activates emotion and intellect. Our mission is to provoke, inspire, and advocate for the creators who grace our walls and our audience.

    Collaboration is a foundational part of our ethos, and it is our privilege to curate a diverse ensemble of international artists, each bringing a unique perspective to the conversation. Across multiple disciplines and perspectives, we continually endeavor to navigate the essence of what it means to be human.

  • Moth Belly Gallery – 912 Larkin Street

    Moth Belly is an artist owned and operated gallery, event space, and arts media platform opened in 2021 by Tenderloin based artists John Vochatzer and KT Seibert. Moth Belly’s exhibits always open on the First Thursdays and showcase the most unique artists and creators working in the Bay Area and beyond. Since October, 2021, Moth Belly has also been managing the First Thursday on a primarily volunteer-basis.

  • Venus & Victory – 824 Hyde Street

    Founded Sept. 2023, Venus & Victory is an artist’s owned Micro-Gallery and Pop Up Space. We are a creative portal of possibilities, curating and launching Artists + Artisans works and wares. We are open for the First Thursday Art Walk, Saturday & Sunday from 11-6, and by appointment.

  • Bob Mizer Foundation – 920 Larkin Street

    The Bob Mizer Foundation is a 501(c) non-profit research archive and museum dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of controversial and progressive artwork created in large part by LGBTQ+ artists. The Foundation's namesake, Robert "Bob" Mizer was a pioneer of American homoerotic visual imagery and published one of the first widely influential queer magazines, Physique Pictorial. The Foundation's collections include the estate of Mizer, as well as a vast array of artistic and reference materials of his contemporaries. Our headquarters at 920 Larkin hosts a variety of public programming: exhibitions of work from both historic and contemporary artists, lectures and seminars, as well as film screenings from the Foundation's film archives which contain over 7,000 early queer films by Mizer and others.   • Modern Eden Gallery – 1100 Sutter Street

    Founded in 2010 by local artists and entrepreneurs Bradley Platz and Kim Larson, Modern Eden Gallery is an art garden—one maintained and nurtured by a local and international community of artists, patrons, family, friends, and fans. Modern Eden is a member of SFADA (The San Francisco Art Dealers Association) and was awarded a certificate of honor for “Outstanding Dedication to the Arts” by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. The gallery features rotating monthly exhibitions of local and international artists, coupled with a robust online ecommerce and social media presence.

  • Live At The Black Hawk – Corner of Turk & Hyde Mini Park.

    Presented by Tech in the Tenderloin (TNT), Live at the Black Hawk is a digital art, music, and history gallery that you can experience inside and out using your own mobile phone (no app required!). Made with and for the TL community, this augmented reality (AR) experience recreates the world-famous Black Hawk Jazz Club on its original Turk and Hyde location. Featuring a rotating gallery of art and music by TL youth, artists and musicians, swing by during the artwalk to see and hear their latest works. TNT AR guides will be available to help you navigate the experience and jive to the vibe.

  • Kayo Books – 907 Post Street

    Kayo Books has been located in the Tenderloin since 1996 and is open by appointment or happenstance. Our specialties include vintage paperbacks, pulps, cartoons, comics and comix, vintage magazines, music flyers and memorabilia, records, counterculture, gay and lesbian pulps, books, memorabilia and ephemera, original illustration and comic artwork, movie memorabilia and posters, vintage erotica, and much more including interesting books of all persuasions.

  • Rosebud Gallery – 839 Larkin Street

    In the heart of San Francisco's historic Tenderloin and Polk Gulch neighborhoods – Rosebud Gallery SF, is a NEW community-focused creative haven, event space & art gallery. Rosebud is a calibration of art, inclusivity, and the resilient spirit of San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ community.
